Weekly #103

Constant Contact Message from 3/8/2022

‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌Hello everybody!

How is your Lent going? I hope it has started well and that this journey brings you closer to God, closer to others, and at peace with yourself. There are signs that this Lent is special here at St. Pats as we are better together, back together, and giving together. We had 130 more people at our Ash Wednesday evening mass than we had in 2019. Our first fish fry last Friday was the largest in our history (see some pics below). Our women's Welcome Retreat was at capacity and had great energy and spiritual growth. The men’s Welcome Retreat will be in two weeks. Our St. Patrick Catholic School has upped its Lenten game with Stations of the Cross, confessions, and a major push for the CRS Rice Bowl. Please see below for opportunities to help make this Lent meaningful for you. You can join us for the Stations of the Cross at 5:45 p.m. this Wednesday in the church and the opportunity for the Sacrament of Reconciliation will follow at 6:30 p.m.

We will celebrate the sacrament the Anointing of the Sick at all of our masses this coming weekend (March 12/13). This is an important and tangible sign of the healing God brings through our community. If you are in need, I encourage you to receive this sacrament, but if not, I encourage you to pray sincerely for those who do receive it. Thank you.

Although Lent is a season of penance and preparation, this year, so far, has been marked by joy for me as you pastor witnessing the spirit and actions of our community. Thank you for being part of our family. God bless you!

Peace,

Fr. Jeff
