Weekly #14

Constant Contact Message from 6/23/2020

Hello Everybody!

In the midst of everything going on in our world, we have some good news to share this week. Our construction continues on the new state-of-the-art media center in the Learning Commons and on the St. John Paul II Youth Room. We also broke ground and blessed it for the new four classroom preschool building. Check out the vlog to see the groundbreaking and hear some reflections from those involved.

You can also see some photos below and go to our website (HERE) to get an update on what the status of the Beacon of Hope Capital Campaign and which projects are completed, in process, or are scheduled to begin. It’s not to late to pledge and be part of this exciting work to strengthen our mission and prepare for the future.

I continue to be inspired by your generosity and commitment. Thank you for being part of the St. Pats family. I give thanks to God everyday for you!

Peace,

Fr. Jeff

Adults and Children to Celebrate Sacraments of Initiation

Eighteen (18) adults and children who have been preparing to celebrate the sacraments of Christian initiation will finally get to fulfill those sacraments this Saturday, June 27. The initiations, which would have happened at the Easter Vigil on April 11, were delayed when public masses were suspended on March 16. The 10 adults, two youth, and six children will celebrate some or all of the sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist during a special Mass at 7:30 p.m. Godparents, sponsors, immediate family, and a few guests also will be in attendance.Because of "safe at worship" protocols, this Mass is not open to all parishioners. Please keep our new initiates in your prayers.

First Communion for the rising third-grade class will be celebrated on July 31 and August 1. The masses will be celebrated with immediate family and will be live-streamed for everyone to enjoy. Please pray for these children and their families.

Parents of rising second-graders should expect communication about the sacrament schedule soon. Information will be emailed via Constant Contact and to the home address of each child. First Reconciliation for the upcoming class will be held November 17, 18 and 19, 2020; First Communion is scheduled for April 24-25, 2021.These dates are tentative and can change based upon Safe at Worship guidelines.
