Hello everybody!
In an attempt to assist with refilling all of our personal, emotional, and spiritual wells, July was intentionally a slower month to allow for rest, prayer, and personal development. The calendar changed to August 1 and we are off and running. Our teachers returned last week and students will be returning to our school next week. Can’t wait to see them! You can see many options below for the next Women’s Welcome Retreat, various Bible studies, R.C.I.A. to learn more about the Catholic faith for those who are interested or seeking, our Parish Religious Education Program (PREP) for children not enrolled at St. Patrick Catholic School, Youth Ministry happenings and various other ministry events. I hope you will plan to come to our Summer Social from 6:00-9:00 p.m. on August 20 and this weekend is the St. Joe’s 173rd Picnic for the Kids. Maybe I’ll see you at the cake booth or beer booth! If you’re providing a cake for the cake booth, they can be dropped off in the gathering space at St. Pats by August 10 and 11.
Thank you for your generosity to our 2022 Mission Appeal for Nativity Academy at St. Boniface. We collected $9,069.30 to support student sponsorship and the extended day program. You are making a real difference in the lives of the children and families they serve. Amy Olsen, the Executive Director, wanted me to thank you on her behalf for your commitment to helping the Nativity Eagles SOAR!
The Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary is on Monday, August 15. Because of the timing, it is not a holy day of obligation this year and we will celebrate it at our normal daily Mass time at 5:00 p.m. on the 15th.

Monday Believers Bible Study - Jesus: The Way, the Truth, and the Life is a 10-session, video-based study that was filmed on location in the Holy Land. It offers a fresh look at Jesus - who he is, what he is really like, what he taught, and what he did for our salvation. This encounter will inspire and empower you to center your entire life on Jesus as you come to know and love him in an ever-deeper and more intimate way. Study begins at 9:30 a.m., August 29 with a "meet and greet" in Miles Meeting Room. Second session is 9:30 to 11:30 a.m., Sept. 12 and meets weekly on Mondays thereafter until the study concludes in mid November. Each session begins with the praying of the Rosary. Cost is $20 and includes a participant guide, book of the same title, timeline of Jesus' life, and online access to videos. Tuesday MOMS Bible Study - Jesus: The Way, the Truth, and the Life is a 10-session, video-based study. Thursday Believers Bible Study - Revelation: The Kingdom Yet to Come: Perhaps no book of the Bible fascinates people more than Revelation. Yet relatively few people have studied it, especially from a Catholic perspective. This study shows how the kingdom established by Christ in his Church is intimately connected with the kingdom of heaven. Presenter Jeff Cavins pulls back the veil on the rich symbolism present in Revelation. Discover what the mysterious figures and images of Revelation mean and how Revelation is more than an apocalyptic vision of the “end times.” This study will meet on Thursdays, 8:00 to 10:00 a.m., beginning Sept. 8 through Nov. 17. There is Still Time to Enter Fully Into the Catholic Faith Through RCIA: The deadline is fast approaching to join the process that forms and prepares you to enter fully into the Catholic faith. Maybe you have attended Mass for years with your Catholic spouse and now feel ready to explore the teachings of the Catholic faith? Perhaps your child's attendance in the Parish Religious Education Program or St. Patrick School led you to an interest in Catholicism? Maybe you are longing for an encounter with the living God and his son and our Savior Jesus Christ. It can happen, you know. Just “come as you are.” Ask questions and learn about the Catholic faith. Find out if the time is right for you to enter into full communion with the Catholic Church. There are no obligations. The RCIA meets from 6:45 to 8:15 p.m, Mondays starting August 22. Now Hiring - St. Patrick Youth Ministry Associate: Are you interested in using your God-given talents to grow the spiritual lives of the young church? St. Patrick Youth Ministry has a permanent part-time position as a Youth Ministry Associate for our youth ministry program. The position is designed for 10 hours per week and has a flexible working schedule. We are looking for someone who is mature spiritually, a self-starter and understands the modern teenage culture and use of technology. The ideal candidate will have a heart for teenagers and a calling from Christ to help our youth grow in their Catholic faith.
