Constant Contact Message from 11/15/2022

Hello everybody!

It was a great weekend celebrating baptisms at all of our masses. The birth of a child brings hope and joy. The faith decisions on the part of parents and godparents to baptize their child is a sign to all of us of God’s grace and love. It is an outpouring of new life now and a pledge for the future. Thanks to all of the parents and godparents for their choices and efforts for the good of their children and our community. Congratulations!

Please pray for all of the children who will be receiving their First Reconciliation this week as they continue their journey toward First Communion. Please also pray for our students who will be putting on the musical Frozen next weekend. You may want to consider catching a performance. I can promise that you will be inspired by these young people! Also next Sunday we will have a New Parishioner Welcome at 9:30 a.m. in the Miles Hall Meeting Room. If you are new to our community, please come to share your story, learn more about St. Pats, and find out what we expect of our members. Thanks!

We are a generous parish because you are generous. Thank you for those who have already pledged or donated for the important ministries and services of the Archdiocese of Louisville through the Catholic Services Appeal. We are well on our way to reaching our participation goal, but we need you to help make it by Thanksgiving. Our tree in the gathering space continues to grow. It is an image of the Paschal Mystery in our lives: our concrete sacrifice in love for the good of others brings life. Thank you!

Your generosity through regular stewardship contributions and the Beacon of Hope Capital Campaign is inspiring and I am grateful. Every square foot of our campus was improved by various projects with the BOH. It is time to celebrate! Please mark your calendar for Sunday, December 4, at the 11:00 a.m. mass. Archbishop Shelton will be our guest presider and we will have a special blessing at mass for the BOH projects (HVAC, parking lot, play ground, church improvements, stained glass windows, offices, meeting spaces, Schindler Hall kitchen and updates, painting, John Paul II Youth Room, and the new Preschool Building). Refreshments and an open house will follow. I hope you can join us!

God’s blessings upon you and those you love.

Peace,

Fr. Jeff
