The Fishermen

Men's Ministry seeking Spiritual Enrichment, Service to Others, and Fellowship

ALL ARE WELCOME

The Fishermen of Saint Patrick is a men's ministry dedicated to breaking open the Sunday scriptures and seeking their application in our lives. Our group discussions lead to a better understanding of God's Word, enhanced spirituality, a desire to be spiritual leaders, a desire to serve others, fellowship, and friendship.

Since March 1999, men of St. Patrick have met on Saturday mornings to discuss the upcoming Sunday readings.

More about what we have to offer:

Our reflection on the scriptures has taught us how to apply the readings in a larger context - and in our relationships as husbands, fathers, sons, grandfathers, and brothers to one another. What started as a small gathering has grown and attracted a large and diverse number of men from inside and outside our parish.

We witness faith leading to action in service and lay ministry. Several men have applied and have been accepted into the archdiocese's permanent diaconate process. In light of the priest shortage, this is a blessing to the entire community.
