If we do our best to live a vibrant Catholic faith life, we experience retreats more often than we realize. For example, if you examine your conscience at the end of the day, stop by the church for Adoration, or come to Mass early for quiet time, you experience a mini-retreat. This type of mini-retreat is when you put the world aside and place your mind in the presence of God, assessing your own spiritual life to see where you need to do things better. A formal retreat is similar, except you will have someone guide you through the process of spending prayerful consideration of your life in Christ.
